Emanuele Scansani

Barcelona, Spain

Emanuele graduated from the London School of Economics (LSE) with a Masters in Conflict Studies in 2009, specialising in nuclear and energy security and southeastern Europe. Prior to that, he studied political science and international relations at Bologna University, Italy, focussing on the Caucasus and other post-Soviet countries. He lived in China from 2009 to 2017, learning Mandarin and travelling extensively across the country and in the wider Asia region. He relocated to Europe in 2017 and currently lives in Barcelona.


Emanuele joined Riskline as an analyst in 2013 and currently serves as the senior analyst for Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

Adam Schrader

Cairo, Egypt

Adam was an officer in the U.S. Army, deploying twice to Iraq following the 2003 invasion. He attended the London School of Economics, focusing his Masters studies on political violence in Iraq and Lebanon and counter terrorism policy. After completing his masters, he moved to Cairo, where he studied Arabic and conducted research on Iraqi security and defence forces.


Adam joined Riskline in 2009 and is now the head analyst.

Suzanne Sangiovese

Toronto, Canada

Suzanne has contributed to non-profit US-based think tanks promoting public policy change in global and domestic security issues. She holds an MSc in International Security and Global Governance and other degrees in politics and economics, and has working proficiency in French and Spanish. Her professional background includes work in transnational security issues, including organised crime, public safety, terrorism and conflict studies. Suzanne lives in Toronto and is member of the Women in International Security (WIIS).


Suzanne has been involved at Riskline since 2010 and is now a senior analyst responsible for the Americas region.
